A document issued by the Center authorizing an individual to carry out activities or operations at an existing meteorological station that meets the requirements of the National Center for Meteorology, based on the Center's regulations.
Submit the application using the official forms approved by the Center:
- Pay the service fee for the requested license.
- Attach proof of land ownership, lease agreement, exploitation deed, or an official allocation decision issued by a competent authority in the Kingdom. All documents must be authenticated and certified.
- Submit an approved architectural plan from a qualified engineering consultancy office.
- Provide a cadastral map from the relevant authorities indicating the proposed station location and its coordinates.
- Submit official documents of the applicant (commercial registration, if available, indicating the nature of the activity; tax and Zakat registration; VAT registration; national ID or residency permit) — all must be valid.
- Attach a technical report and preliminary study outlining the nature of the activity and purpose of the station, ensuring compliance with the technical standards issued by the National Center for Meteorology.
- Attach a certified preliminary study of the activity, including the nature, specifications, and description of the equipment/devices used and the services provided.
- Provide a statement of the number of licensed technical personnel employed.
- Submit a commitment to carry out maintenance and calibration work through contracting with entities licensed by the National Center for Meteorology.
- Include the station’s designs based on the technical standards for internal essential services required to operate the station.
- Approve a declaration affirming the authenticity of all submitted documents and full responsibility (civil and criminal) in the event of any false information.
- Attach any additional documents requested by the Center.

- Pay the service fee for the requested service.
- Attach proof of land ownership, lease agreement, usufruct contract, or allocation decision issued by an official authority in the Kingdom—provided that all documents are certified and authenticated.
- Provide an approved engineering drawing from a qualified engineering consultancy office.
- Submit a cadastral map from the relevant authorities showing the proposed station’s location and coordinates.
- Provide official documents of the applicant (commercial registration if available, including activity type or identification documents, registration with Zakat and Tax Authority, VAT certificate, and a valid national ID or residence permit).
- Attach a technical report and preliminary study on the nature of the activity and the purpose of the station, ensuring it complies with the technical standards issued by the National Center for Meteorology.
- Submit an approved preliminary study on the activity, the nature of the equipment and devices used with detailed specifications, and a description of the provided services.
- Attach a list of licensed technical personnel working at the station.
- Provide a signed undertaking to carry out maintenance and calibration through entities licensed by the National Center for Meteorology.
- Submit the station designs based on the technical specifications and internal basic service requirements necessary for operation.
- Agree to a declaration confirming the accuracy of all submitted documents and assume full legal and civil responsibility in case of any false information.
- Attach any other documents requested by the Center.
- The license fee will be determined at a later stage.

- The fees cover the cost of reviewing the application for one station. If there are additional stations within a 40-kilometer radius of the site, an extra fee will be added for each additional station if they are inspected during the same visit, based on the assessment of the visiting team.

Once service approval is granted, the beneficiary will receive an invoice via email. The fee can be paid through the “SADAD” service.
