The Riyadh region, centrally located in Saudi Arabia, spans 380,000 km² (second largest), includes 22 governorates and the capital city, Riyadh.

Al Jowf region, located in northwest Saudi Arabia, covers 85,000 km² (ninth largest) and includes four governorates plus the emirate's headquarters, Sakaka.

The Hail region, located in northwest Saudi Arabia, covers 120,000 km² (seventh largest) and includes seven governorates plus the emirate's headquarters, Hail.

The Qassim region is located in the north-central part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and it is the eleventh largest region in terms of area, with more than 73,000 km², and it is followed by thirteen governorates, in addition to the emirate’s headquarters, the city of Buraidah.

The Eastern Region in eastern Saudi Arabia borders the Arabian Gulf to the east, the Northern Border Region to the north, and the Riyadh Region to the west.

Al-Baha region is located in the southwestern part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is its smallest region in terms of area, as it does not exceed 120,000 km². It is administratively divided into eight governorates, in addition to the emirate’s headquarters, the city of Al-Baha.

The Najran region in southwest Saudi Arabia covers 130,000 km² (eleventh largest), divided into six governorates with its administrative capital in Najran city.

The Asir region in southwest Saudi Arabia spans 80,000 km², rich in heritage, archaeological sites, and tourist attractions, with Abha as its emirate headquarters.

The Jazan region in the far southwest of Saudi Arabia is the second smallest in area at about 13,000 km², with sixteen governorates under its emirate system, centered in Jazan city.

The Tabuk region in northwest Saudi Arabia, covering 136,000 km², includes historical monuments, investment, and tourism projects, with Tabuk city as its emirate headquarters and six provinces.
