A document issued by the Center that authorizes an individual to carry out work or activities related to the management and operation of meteorological stations, whether the scope of management and operation is internal (with a dedicated department within the requesting entity) or commercial (providing management and operation services to other entities), in accordance with the requirements of the National Center for Meteorology.
Submit the licensing application using the official forms approved by the Center:
- The applicant must sign a declaration confirming the authenticity of the submitted documents and bear full legal and civil responsibility in the event of any falsification, after presenting the original documents for verification.
- Pay the service fee for the requested license.
- Submit valid official documents of the applicant (such as the Commercial Registration, if available, indicating the nature of the activity, or supporting identification documents, registration with the Zakat and Tax Authority, VAT certificate, and national ID or residency permit).
- Attach a declaration stating the commitment that all technical personnel involved must be licensed by the National Center for Meteorology to practice relevant meteorological professions.
- Provide any additional documents requested by the Center.
- Attach a declaration committing to the following:

- All engineering and technical personnel must be licensed by the relevant authorities (e.g., Saudi Council of Engineers / National Center for Meteorology).
- All engineering and technical personnel must be qualified, trained, and experienced in the relevant field.
- All machinery, equipment, devices, systems, and tools used for installation and maintenance must comply with international standards.
- Submit a portfolio of previous work in the same field, if available.
- Possess a valid ISO quality certification (relevant and current).
- The station license must be valid.
Clarifications:
- The self-management and operation service is to be applied for in cases where there is a fully dedicated internal department responsible for managing and operating the stations.
- Entities that manage and operate meteorological stations related to marine and air navigation services are exempt from applying for this service.
- The license fee will be determined at a later stage.

- Pay the required service fee.
- Submit valid official documents of the applicant (including Commercial Registration if available indicating the nature of the activity, Zakat and Income registration, VAT certificate, and valid National ID or Residency permit).
- Attach any other documents requested by the Center.
- Attach a declaration committing to the following:
- All engineering and technical staff must be licensed by the relevant authorities (Saudi Council of Engineers / National Center for Meteorology).
- All engineering and technical staff must be qualified, trained, and have prior experience in the relevant specialty.
- All machinery, equipment, devices, systems, and tools used for installation and maintenance must comply with international standards.
- Provide records of previous work within the same field, if available.
- Possess a valid ISO quality certification relevant to the work.
- The meteorological station license must be valid.

Once service approval is granted, the beneficiary will receive an invoice via email. The fee can be paid through the “SADAD” service.
