Arab and international praise for the role of Saudi meteorology in the media and awareness in this year’s Hajj
The Kingdom chaired the ninth meeting of the Arab Committee for Meteorological Awareness and Information, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo. The meeting discussed a number of topics of interest, which are included in the agenda of the committee meeting related to meteorological media and awareness work, including the establishment of the website for the Permanent Arab Committee for Meteorology. The committee also approved The logo and title of the Arab Meteorological Day 2024 AD, and the logo of the Observer and Forecaster Day presented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while the meeting also discussed the logo of the Council of Arab Ministers concerned with meteorological and climate affairs.
During the meeting, the committee thanked Saudi Arabia, represented by the National Center of Meteorology, for its work during this year’s Hajj season, praising the great role and tangible efforts at the media and awareness levels, and the great capabilities and expertise it has harnessed in this field. It also appreciated the World Meteorological Organization, represented by its delegate and office director, Dr. Hisham. Abdul-Ghani, for the great work of the Saudi Meteorology Department, which contributed to the success of the plans and work of this year’s Hajj season, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom for its distinguished efforts in the field of meteorological awareness and information and its support for programs related to the committee’s work, which contributed to the success of its events and its awareness and media work.
The Arab Committee for Information and Awareness concluded its work today, Tuesday, by reviewing a number of topics of interest and issuing its final report.
